Simac has won the contract for the Microsoft Unified Communications platform at BASE, Simac installed Microsoft Exchange 2007 Servers and Office Communication Server for about 1000 mailboxes.
“We have moved the mailserver back to our premises to be able to faster integrate applications”, says Stefan Vlassenroot, IT workplace service manager at BASE.
For backup and email archiving Symantec and Veritas were installed. Microsoft OCS will be used by the mobile workers, but also by colleagues from other KPN companies in Germany, France and Spain.
