Simac Techniek N.V., since 1986 listed on the Amsterdam stock exchange, is a technology company that operates in the Benelux and Central Europe. The core activities are system integration, services and development in the following areas:

In the core activities Simac employs more than 800 people.

Simac ICT Netherlands manages the complete process from design, implementation and operation of ICT infrastructures. Our services include consultancy, system and network integration, project management, facility management, managed services, maintenance, secondment and product supply. In our vision technology is a consumer good that enables you to better manage the processes within your organisation.

Simac ICT Belgium and Luxemburg
Simac's operations in Belgium and Luxemburg are similar to the situation in the Netherlands. Simac has traditionally played an important role in the area of network integration in Belgium. But here too, increasing emphasis is being placed on the management of ICT infrastructures.

Simac ICT Czech Republic and Slovakia
Simac ICT Czech Republic is operating in what is clearly a growth market. Many organisations in Central Europe are currently catching up in the area of automation. Simac designs, implements and manages the ICT infrastructures needed for this purpose.

Simac Business Applications
Simac Business Applications designs, builds and manages customised software solutions primarily for Microsoft, Oracle, Delphi and Lotus environments. This relates to applications that automate and/or optimise business processes within organisations.

Simac Business Solutions
Simac Business Solutions offers vertical solutions for both the retail and healthcare market. Regarding retail the main target is becoming the most important full service/one-stop-shopping system integrator for the midsized and large retailers in the Benelux. Simac invests in new solutions for the retail market like POS-systems, voice-integration, video security, alarming, narrowcasting and specific retail software for back office en logistic processes. For the healthcare segment several services are combined in Simac CareNet, a platform for all ICT tools needed by healthcare organisations in order to operate decisive and customer oriented. Besides that Simac introduced a special platform for an integrated live-and-care-concept named Vicasa. To support both markets (and also other markets) specific solutions are integrated and designed based on IP-telephony in such a way that voice, data and video come together in one platform.

Simac Datacollect
Simac Datacollect supplies complete, high-end solutions in the area of data-entry systems. This varies from optical marking readers to software-based character recognition, with which both printed and handwritten text can be processed. Customised solutions are offered in addition to the standard packages.

Simac Onderwijs
Simac Onderwijs develops software for educational establishments and supports them in the efficient and effective management of school information. At the heart of its service is the student information system @VO. Thanks to this software, Simac is an important player in the Dutch secondary education market.

Simac Triangle
Simac Triangle focuses on standard application software for a number of specific markets. On the basis of Oracle technology, it has developed a functionally strong and broad application for so-called pay per use invoicing. Its functionality aims to invoice products and services on the basis of use, as often occurs at for instance telecom operators, cable system operators and suppliers of printers and photocopiers. Clients currently using Square Applications are predominantly found among the latter target group and are active in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Italy and the United States.

GroupSupport.com supplies software and facilities for supporting group processes. Companies can use this software to substantially improve and speed up their decision-making processes. GroupSupport.com supplies larger European companies and institutes.

Industrial Electronics and Automation

Simac Electronics
Simac Electronics operates in the market for professional electronics. The core activity involves supplying products and services in the area of telecommunication and industrial automation. The most important clients are found in the telecommunication, mechanical engineering, defence, semi-conductor, process and electronics industries. Simac Electronics focuses on fibre-optic connections and wireless connections (such a GSM, GPRS, UMTS and Wireless LAN).

Simac Masic & TSS
Simac Masic & TSS presents itself as three divisions. First, by means of top-quality visual inspection systems for production processes. Secondly, Simac Masic & TSS organises projects for complex industrial turnkey projects. And finally, top-quality test systems, including services for the semi-conductor and electronics industry, are supplied.

Simac QuadCore
The package of services offered by Simac QuadCore BV comprises the design, implementation and maintenance of software for steering production processes in various branches of industry.
Simac QuadCare focuses its expertise primarily on PLC, SCADA and MES engineering, industrial networks and IT development.

Shareholdings

Allied Data Technologies - 40%
Allied Data Technologies focusses on the development, production and sale of state-of-the-art technology for high-speed access to telecommunication networks (such as ADSL, SHDSL, Voice-over-DSL and Voice-over-IP).

APTS - 18%
APTS focusses on the development, production and sale of concepts and systems for high level transportation of passengers. From this objective APTS has developped a transportation system with underground characteristics for public transport in medium and large-sized cities. This transportation system is recognisable as an electronically guided  and hybrid vehicle on pneumatic tyres and is known under the name of PHILEAS.

Breedband Regio Eindhoven - 3%
A number of organisations in the Eindhoven region has taken the initiative to combine their need for broadband communication and to jointly put this concept into the market They act under the name of Breedband Regio Eindhoven. In addition to a number of companies the city of Eindhoven and several community and educational institutions are active in this cooperation.

Genexis - 14%
Genexis develops and delivers high level opto electronical products for the new Fiber-to-the-Home market. The product solutions of Genexis make it possible to use the ultimate bandwidth of fibre optics, supporting all telecommunication services (telephone/Voice-over-IP, broadband internet and CATV).

Sensite Solutions - 18,67%
Sensite Solutions develops and sells total solutions for wireless local tracking & tracing applications. The system focusses on wireless tracking and identification of valuable mobile objects and individuals and the continuous monitoring of their situation.

Simac Broadcast - 50%
Simac Broadcast delivers high level services for the broadcasting industry. The company specialises in digital video/audio compression systems and offers its customers a complete package of services. The client portfolio is worldwide and includes almost all large media companies that broadcast by means of cable, satellite or terrestrial.
