As almost usual in our modern times, 2006, again, has gone by in a flash. For Simac Broadcast this was a memorable year with great achievements.
Organisational Expansion
We saw organisational expansion, both in resources and facilities. In February, we opened up new offices in Milan, Italy to serve the Mediterranean market. Also, we set up a second office in India, in order to support our increasing business activities not only from Delhi, but also from Mumbai.
Broader Scope of Activities
Following customer requirements, we took the opportunity to expand our activities from the Digital Video Broadcast (DVB) field to focus on full end-to-end solutions, ranging from Digital Head-End to Subscriber, even including the Access and Core networks involved. Some recent projects we successfully embarked on last year include Optical Networks including full field support, Digital Head-End system integration projects and DVB-T/H consultancy.
Focus on System Management, IP TV and Mobile TV
Finally, we increased our focus on system management, IP TV and Mobile TV. At IBC in September, we introduced SAM, our Service Analysis & Monitoring System, developed by Impeq Software. The system is designed to provide real-time monitoring information in video/audio processing and was well-received by our customers.

We know that we can only be successful through our customers and our business partners. Therefore, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all who have put trust in us and worked with us last year.
