IMPEQ Technologies Improves System Management and Monitoring (SAM) for Digital TV

In addition to a status overview of the system installed or individual building blocks of Digital Television, SAM - IMPEQ’s Service Analyser and Monitoring System - also monitors and analyses broadcasted streams online. This functionality provides all valuable details on services supplied to end-users.

Custom-Made Functionality
SAM features online analysis of the quality of all broadcasted television signals in a very user-friendly way. This means operators have permanent and easy access to what they broadcast and can now take a proactive approach to any problems occurring in the field. Any specific requirements operators may have in what they need to analyse can be easily incorporated into the system by IMPEQ’s in-house development team.

Meet SAM
The IMPEQ Service Analyser and Monitoring (SAM) system was first launched at IBC 2006. It is part of the IMPEQ Management Suite, which also includes SNMP management. SAM provides the information needed to secure quality of service for program delivery to the end-users in the operators’ network.

SAM monitors and analyses the broadcasted streams in the various stages of audio/video processing in the digital headend, it measures all services on quality and the presence of mandatory information (ETR290, bitrate, PSI/SI and more).

User’s View on Service Quality
SAM provides a user-friendly interface that displays the information required in single or multiple screen environments.

For more information or a demonstration on the IMPEQ Service Analyser and Monitoring (SAM) system, contact Simac Broadcast and ask to meet SAM.
