IP-Communication. Telephoning with the future in mind.
Telephony. Yesterday's topic The telephone is in the center of attention again. Over a hundred years after the introduction of the 'electrical speech machine' by Alexander Graham Bell business telephony receives a new impulse. At this moment network technology forms the basis of a form of communication that seemed not likely to be improved. At first sight the so-called IP telephony does not differ much from traditional telephoning. For the user there is still an apparatus through which he can speak, listen to voicemail and transfer calls.
IP-Telephony. Today's topic The biggest merit of IP-telephony is that it can be completely integrated into company networks. This offers possibilities that up till now were not or not easily feasible. At last telephony does what it should do: facilitating business processes. For those who think about networks and telephony at this moment, there is a simple advice. All signs indicate that traditional telephony rapidly gives way for switchboards based on IP. IP telephony - or Voice over IP - has evolved to a logical, effective and before all costs saving manner of communicating.
IP-Communication. Tomorrow's topic Communication is more than just telephoning. We know E-mail for many years now, but also other forms of communication emerge such as realtime collaboration, instant messaging and video conferencing. Also the integration with office automation is in the center of attention. Mobile communication plays an important role: working at home, on the way or at the office.
In view of these developments a choice for IP-communication is a choice for the future. In more and more of the existing processes communication networks play a central role. High time to pay more attention to this during a Simac Technology Update.
