Simac buys majority shares of French Wavetel

03 August 2018

The agreement was signed on 27 July 2018, as a result of which Simac became a 70% shareholder in the French Wavetel. With this takeover, Simac now has activities in France in Paris and in two places in Brittany (Rennes and Lorient). 17 people work at Wavetel. Through Simac Luxembourg, Simac was already active in Metz from the end of 2017.

Wavetel, together with Simac BMS (from Simac ICT Belgium), will focus on projects and contracts with major French clients in the field of Network and IT Performance Monitoring and Diagnostics. The bundling of forces must lead to extra opportunities for large customers and new prospects, some of which have already been set in motion.

In addition, Wavetel sells test and measurement equipment and therefore has activities that are comparable to Simac Electronics (active on the Dutch and Belgian markets). The roots of Simac are also in this area. Among others instruments from global market leaders Fluke and Yokogawa are sold.
