PSA history
PSA was established in 2011 as a subsidiary of RNA GmbH. RNA is a company which was established on the market in 1972 and in the 50 years since this time it has become one of the world’s biggest and most important suppliers of vibration transport systems. Feeding systems for all kinds of industries are manufactured in Germany (8 locations), Switzerland, England and Spain by a total of around 400 employees. The systems made by PSA were added to the RNA product range in 2011.
PSA feeding systems
PSA manufactures feeding systems that satisfy the highest of pharmaceutical demands for the mechanical engineering companies in the area. The same extremely high quality and reliability demands which have been fulfilled by the RNA Group for decades also apply to PSA.

How does a bowl feeder work?
The bowl feeder, including an out feed accumulation track to convey parts along and discharge into the assembly machine are supplied in many shapes and sizes. The drive unit, available in both electromagnetic and pneumatic drives, vibrates the bowl feeder, forcing the parts to move up a circular, inclined track. The track is designed to sort and orient the parts in consistent, repeatable positions. The track length, width, and depth are carefully chosen to suit the application and component shape and size. Special track coatings are applied according to shape size and material of the parts which aids traction, damage to the product and lower acoustic levels. A variable speed control box is used for controlling the vibration of the bowl feeder and stops the flow of parts to the out feed track via sensors.
Why are PSA and Simac partners?
In 2017 Simac and PSA became partners and for the first time Simac Masic used PSA feeding systems into our vision inspection systems.

The group produces almost 2,000 systems every year. PSA develops solutions for demanding tasks such as high feeding capacity, complicated workpiece geometries and/or accurate pre-positioning. This is how PSA became the technology and market leader.
