Unless they have parental or guardian consent, we do not intend to collect data from individuals under the age of 16. However, we are not always able to check whether someone is over 16. We therefore advise parents to be involved in their children's (online) activities, in order to avoid collecting data on children without parental consent. If you are convinced that we have collected personal data about a minor without such consent, please contact us and we will delete this information.
We do not retain your data for longer than permitted by law and necessary for the purposes for which we process your personal data. The specific retention period depends on the nature of the personal data and the purpose for which it is processed. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your consent to data processing or object to the processing of your personal data by Simac. You also have the right to data portability.
You can submit a request to this effect via the contact options described below. To prevent misuse, we may ask you to identify yourself when doing so. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within 4 weeks. We would also like to point out that you have the option of submitting a complaint to the supervisory authority: the Personal Data Authority.
If you do not wish to receive commercial messages from us, please let us know by ticking the relevant box on the form or by using the unsubscribe link in the e-mail you receive. We will then have your data blocked from commercial messages.
Use of cookies
We use cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone the first time you visit our website. We use cookies that are necessary for the technical functioning of the website and for your ease of use. We also use cookies that allow us to optimise our website. Hotjar
Hotjar maps clicks, scroll and mouse movements. This service sets a cookie that remembers which pages have already been shown, so you are not double counted. It also records some data such as your browser type, device type and the source of your visit. Hotjar does not share this data with third parties. HubSpot
We use HubSpot to record visitors' preferences. HubSpot collects information about your computer and your visits to our website, such as your IP address, location, browser type, referral source, length of visit and pages viewed. Olark
Olark allows us to help visitors via livechat. Of course, only if you indicate yourself that you want to chat with us. This service places various cookies to ensure that the livechat works on your computer, to keep track of which page you view and to recognise returning visitors so that we have insight into previous conversations and can thus answer questions more quickly. More information on this can be found here. Chat records are automatically anonymised after 90 days.
Linkedin stores the user's consent status for the simac.com. To optimise the user experience, it also records which server cluster the visitor serves. Used in conjunction with data synchronisation with a third-party analytics service. The social networking service LinkedIn tracks the use of embedded services and ensures the security of website and visitors during browsing and cross-site requests.
Vimeo
Vimeo collects data on user visits to the website, such as which pages have been read, and distinguishes between humans and bots allowing valid reports to be made on website usage.
Youtube
Youtube cookies detect whether the visitor has accepted the marketing category in the cookie banner, necessary to comply with AVG requirements, and store user preferences for the video player for the purpose of playing embedded Youtube videos.
Cookiebot
Stores the user's cookie consent status for the simac.com.
NR data
Retains user statuses (online, offline or inactive) on different pages.
Doubleclick
Doubleclick checks whether the user's browser supports cookies. Further, Doubleclick records you and reports the website user's actions after viewing or clicking on the advertiser's ads for the purpose of measuring ad effectiveness and presenting targeted ads to the user. To present more relevant ads, data is collected on visitors from multiple websites, which also allows the website to limit the number of times the same ad is displayed.

Third-party websites
