Strategically it has been decided to apply a quality management system. By following a process approach in the development, implementation and improvement of the effectiveness of the quality of the processes and services, we ensure a grip on the business processes in order to realize our objectives in this way. With the ISO9001: 2015 certification, Simac demonstrates that it has a focus on its objectives, works in a risk-oriented way and continuously strives for quality improvement in the company. Simac has been certified by Kiwa for ISO 9001: 2015.
As a service provider, we play an important role in the business processes of our customers. Our customers trust that for Simac and its employees professionalism, confidentiality and integrity - the three pillars of information security - are paramount. To comply with international standard requirements and to make them testable, we use the ISO27001 standard. Simac has been certified by Dekra for the ISO 27001: 2013.
ISAE 3402 type II assurance verklaring
Every year we test our generic management processes by an independent auditor according to the ISAE3402 Type II directive 'Assurance reports on controls at a service organization'. ISAE 3402 is an international standard for auditors that includes guidelines for assessing service organizations and issuing a declaration on quality of service. By means of ISAE 3402, the service organization provides the user organization (s) with insight into the measures taken of internal control or the quality of the internal organization. In the case of a type II, the auditor not only assesses the set-up and the existence but also the operation of the control measures over a longer period. The ISAE 3402 assurance statement therefore not only provides insight into the reliability and therefore also quality of the service, but is also an external confirmation that internal control exists and has worked effectively. Customers have the certainty that the IT processes that they outsource to Simac are in good hands.
At Simac we feel very involved in our environment. The pursuit of continuity is much broader than just securing the company financially. Corporate social responsibility is something we take for granted in today's time. We always try to translate our products and services into innovative and sustainable solutions for companies. We see it as our responsibility to make Simac employees aware of CSR and to communicate this to our stakeholders such as suppliers, customers and prospects. Environmental management plays an increasingly important role in our society in this context and Simac takes its responsibility in this. Through an environmental management system we can make the correct analyzes, set environmental targets and monitor these. This system has been externally tested by BSI, as a result of which we have obtained the ISO 14001: 2015 certificate for all Dutch and Belgian sites.
Simac develops applications for the healthcare sector. From this sector, strict requirements are imposed on information security, related to the high privacy sensitivity of the processed data in the applications. The software development process, including the other business processes of Simac, are NEN 7510 certified. Within the scope of the certification, among other things, the CareView (electronic client file) and the video calling application Vicasa are included.
