Simac Electronics and Simac Masic are facing a significant change. Effective January 1, 2023, both will have a new general manager at the helm.
Farewell Marcel Leenen
Current managing director of Simac Electronics Marcel Leenen is stepping down after a 35-year career in the turbulent technology world. Although still several years away from his retirement date, Marcel sees the opportunity to create more space for, in particular, his passions for travel and study. Marcel's farewell is scheduled for February 15, 2023. Completely gone, Marcel will not be gone by then. He will remain available to Simac Electronics in an advisory role for the time being.
Internal transfer
After a careful process, a replacement has been found within Simac. Ivo de Rooij, current general manager of Simac Masic, will make the move to Simac Electronics on 1 January. For Ivo no unknown territory, he previously worked as sales & marketing manager for the Drunen company.
New managing director of Simac Masic
Ivo's role of general manager at Simac Masic will be taken over by Ard Romers as of January 1. Ard has mainly earned his spurs at VDL Groep. With his transfer to Simac, we are gaining someone who can give Simac Masic further direction on the already successful growth path.
